OKATIE, S.C. -  The Davenport University men's golf team competed in its first competition at the beginning of the week (Feb. 24-25) at the Oldfield Classic. The Panthers finished with a three-round score of 891 (+27) with a low round of 295 (third).

DU had two athletes finish inside the top 20, Pedro Russi and Justin Grimard. Russi finished tied for 12th overall with a score of 218 (+2) and a low round of 71 (second and third). The freshman finished with 15 birdies through three rounds. Grimard ended the week at No. 17 in the individual standings, recording a final score of 220 (+4). The sophomore shot a 72 in each of the first two rounds and tallied 10 birdies through three rounds.

Finishing 38th overall was Chen-Shiuan Wu, ending the week with a three-round score of 227 (+11).

Sophomore Cayden Kwan finished 42nd overall, finishing 12 over par (228). The Markham, Ontario native had a low-round of 73, which came in the third. Rounding things out for the Panthers was Aiden Deng, ending the tournament 53rd overall with a three-round score of 230.
