Box Score GRIFFITH, Ind. - The Davenport men's tennis team dropped their GLIAC opener on the road at Purdue Northwest on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 5-2. It was the first in-region loss of the season for the Panthers who are now 5-1 in the region and 11-4 overall.
The Panthers lost one point in doubles, but did get a victory at the first position as
Simone Pacciolla and Rueben Bakker defeated Alex Miguel van Lumich and Samuel Dickson by a score of 6-2. The Pride took the other two doubles matchups by scores of 6-1 and 6-2.
The Panthers did earn two points in singles as Bakker improved to 10-8 in singles this season with a 7-6 (7-2), 1-6, 10-7 victory at the three spot over Daniel Chicano.
Rudiger Dusselberg at six singles was able to win his team-high 13th singles matchup this season with a 7-5, 6-1 triumph over Daniel Sroka.
Carlos Henriquez at five singles did force a third set, but fell 6-4, 6-7, 4-10 at four singles against Joao Martins.
