Box Score DETROIT, Mich. - The men's tennis team made the trip to No. 18 Wayne State on Friday morning and fell 6-1 against the Warriors in GLIAC action. The Panthers are now 13-5 overall (1-2 GLIAC), while Wayne State is now 10-4 overall (1-0 GLIAC).
The Warriors were able to take all three matches in doubles. George Day and Cedric Drenth at one doubles defeated
Simone Pacciolla and
Reuben Bakker 6-3. Sam Knowles and Tom Wasner at two doubles won 6-4 over
Carlos Henriquez and
Jaden Bender. The three doubles was a 6-2 decision with Benjamin Hill and Luis Klaus getting the best of
Rudiger Dusselberg and
Daniel Calver.
Calver was the one point for the Panthers at two singles. He is now 12-8 this season in singles competition. He won 0-6, 6-1, 6-3 over Day in an epic comeback. Bender was able to go three sets at four singles against Hill by fell 4-6, 6-1, 6-3. Pacciolla at one singles fell 6-3, 6-2 to Drenth.Â
