WHEATON, Ill. - The women's golf team picked up its first tournament win of the season on Tuesday (Apr. 1) at the Lewis Flyer Spring Invite. The Panthers found themselves trailing Drury by three strokes heading into the final round and beat them by 17 strokes in order to win by 14 strokes over the Panthers. Melissa Walker had her second-best career 36-hole total at 155 (78-77) and finished in third place. She was able to birdie two holes on the back nine in the first round and recorded three birdies total in the final round.

Venetia Chap finished sixth overall with a two-round total of 161 (77-84). She carded two birdies in the first round and also birdied the 18th hole in the final round. Lauren Gervais tied for 10th place with a total of 164 (84-80). ThaiLee Gerding tied for 15th place after she shot a two-round total of 165 (83-82). Hannah Robinson rounded out the DU competitors as she finished in a tie for 21st with a total of 167 (89-78).
