Men’s Golf Places Sixth at GLIAC Championships

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Davenport University men's golf team finished sixth out of 10 teams at the GLIAC Championships at the Bedford Valley Golf Course. The Panthers finished with a two-round score of 584 (+8).

Leading the way for the Panthers was Foster Faber, finishing 10th overall. The junior had a low round of 69 (-3) on day one of the event. Faber tallied eight birdies and an eagle through 36 holes of action. He has now recorded five top-10 finishes in his career, including four this season.

Pedro Russi finished 16th overall for DU, shooting 146 (+2) through two days. The freshman had a low round of 69 (-3) on day two. Russi finished with four birdies in the second round of play.

Casey Patterson and Chen-Shiuan Wu tied for 27th overall, each shooting 149 (+5). Patterson registered five birdies and a low round of 73 (+1), while Wu notched eight birdies and a low round of 72 (E).

Rounding things out for DU was Justin Grimard, placing 34th overall. The sophomore shot a 150 (+6) and tallied five birdies in two days.
