PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Michael Tchavdarov, Davenport
Tchavdarov drove in seven runs during the Wayne State series and all five of his hits were from extra bases. He had four doubles and also homered in Sunday's game two win. It was his first long ball since Mar. 17 at Quincy and his fourth of the season. He went 5-for-19 at the plate this weekend.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Keegan Batka, Davenport
Batka has had a remarkable season and turned in one of his top performances on Saturday in a 9-0 win at Wayne State. He took a no-hitter into the eighth inning and gave up a single to the second batter of the inning. He finished the game with his first nine-inning complete game of the season and allowed two walks with nine strikeouts. Batka has won his last three starts to improve to 8-1 this season. In those starts, he has 29 strikeouts in 21.1 innings of work. He is now fifth on the single-season strikeout list (81) at Davenport.
