GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Junior
Jaden Bender (Zeeland, Mich. / Holland Christian H.S.) and junior
Simone Pacciolla (Mesagne, Italy) were named for the men's team, while junior
Amy Bloch (Johannesburg, South Africa) and graduate student
Valentina Moreno (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) received the honor for the women's team.
Bender compiled a record of 11-10 in singles action and was 9-7 in dual matches this season. He also posted a record of 15-10 in doubles play. Pacciolla put together a record of 10-10 in singles action and played 11 times at the No. 1 position. He also was very successful in doubles play with an 18-7 record, which included a 5-1 mark in the GLIAC.
Bloch compiled a singles record of 15-11 and had the second most singles wins on the squad. She went 7-1 in singles during GLIAC action. She also teamed up in doubles for a record of 17-11. Moreno won nine singles matches this season, including two in the GLIAC. She also picked up six doubles wins for the Panthers.
