Domany sets the school record in the 5,000 meters at the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Jordan Domany set his second indoor school record of the season at the Saginaw Valley State Jet's Pizza Invitational. The clocked a time of 14:46.02 in the 5,000 meters and placed second in the event. Domany broke his own school record in the event which he set at the 2025 GLIAC Championships in a time of 14:50.18.

Other top performances on the men's side included Carson Dykstra in the 400 meters with the seventh-best time in school history (49.99). Luke Oyster had the fifth-best time at DU in the 3,000 meters (8:42.05). Rogan Melling also competed in the 5,000 meters and turned in the 10th-best time of 15:27.19. Andrew Otberg had a successful high jump with his PR in the event (6' 0.5") and had the 10th-best showing. Chandler Griffiths placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 51' 1". Thomas Johnson placed sixth in the shot put at 49' 1.5". Mark Palmeter took 10th in the heptathlon with 3,942 points.

Jaiden Young placed fourth in the 60 meters with a time of 7.85. Jakya Mack-Smith raced to a time of 7.81 in the prelims for the third-best time at Davenport. Kenzie Fedewa set a PR in the 400 meters (59.24) while placing fifth in the event and having the ninth-best time at Davenport. Sophie Orton had the 10th-best time in the 60 hurdles (9.45). Julia Ott placed second in the high jump (5' 3.75"). Elizabeth Miller in the shot put placed fourth (41' 0.25") and had the sixth-best mark of all-time at DU. Tori Lator produced the seventh-best pentathlon effort in school history with 2,674 points.
