Davenport Takes Momentum Into Road Matches

CALEDONIA, Mich. — Davenport split a pair of matches last week, falling 3-0 to No. 5 Grand Valley State on Friday before earning a 1-0 Senior Day victory over Wayne State on Sunday. The Panthers now hit the road for a pair of GLIAC matchups, traveling to Ferris State on Friday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. before facing Saginaw Valley State on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.

Davenport opened the week with a tough matchup against the Lakers, with Elizabeth Wolter making six saves in the 3-0 setback. The Panthers bounced back Sunday, with Natalie Vance scoring in the fifth minute off an assist from Sofia Capoccia. Wolter made seven saves, including a penalty-kick stop, to preserve the shutout as Davenport handed Wayne State its first loss of the season.
