ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Davenport track and field teams competed in one of the largest meets in the country over the weekend at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. The Panthers were able to showcase their talents and continue to show promise as they gear up for the upcoming GLIAC Indoor Championships.
Women's Notable Performances
Hanah Johnson competed in the 200 meters with a time of 25.90 and had the seventh-best time at DU all-time.
Arrionna Wallace also competed in the 200 meters and had the 10th-best time at 26.16.
Madalyn Daniels had a big improvement in her PR in the 400 meters with a time of 59.59.
Cierra Guay had the 10th-best time all-time at DU in the mile run with a time of 5:32.54.
Reese Geiger finished sixth in the pole vault with a height of 11' 0.75" to set the seventh-best all-time mark at DU. The 4x400 relay of
Kenzie Fedewa, Daniels,
Adeline Nickels, and Johnson placed fifth with a time of 3:58.11 and that was the seventh-best time in school history.
Men's Notable Performances
Adam Jorgensen would finish eighth in the 400 meters crossed the line at 49.27 and set the sixth-best time at DU. He also had the ninth-best time in the 60 hurdles at 8.47 in the prelims.
Jordan Domany would set the school record in the 5,000 meters beating his own record at 14:43.33.
Malcolm Earvin placed second in the 200 meters (22.09).
Tariq Murray in the triple jump finished second with a distance of 44' 6" and that was sixth-best all-time for a Panther. The 4x400 relay consisting of
Carson Dykstra, Jorgensen, Earvin, and
Nikao Williams had the second-best time of 3:18.95 and was sixth in the event.
