Men's Tennis falls 4-0 to No. 14 Florida Southern

ORLANDO, Fla. – Davenport men's tennis dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 14 Florida Southern on Monday afternoon at the USTA National Campus on day two of their spring break trip. The Moccasins (4-3) secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, despite a strong showing from Reuben Bakker and Jan Stolin at the No. 2 spot. The Panther duo battled to a 7-6 (7-3) victory to highlight doubles play, but Florida Southern claimed the early 1-0 advantage. The No. 1 doubles was also a tiebreaker as Adrian Constantin and Simone Pacciolla fell 7-6 (7-2) against George Russell and Onur Turgut.

In singles action, the Mocs clinched the match with straight-set wins at Nos. 4, 5 and 6 to seal the 4-0 final. Jaden Bender, Rudiger Dusselberg and Bakker each competed in those positions, while three other singles matches went unfinished at the time of decision. Davenport moves to 5-6 overall as they continue their spring slate tomorrow against Southeastern University in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
