GRANDVILLE, Mich. - The men's tennis team ended the regular season with a 7-0 loss to Grand Valley State on Saturday. The Panthers currently have a 9-13 overall record and were 2-4 in the GLIAC. The team will look forward to the upcoming GLIAC Tournament and will face Purdue Northwest on Thursday, April 23 at 4:00 PM. The tournament will take place at the Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Michigan.
The Lakers took the doubles point by sweeping all three doubles.
Reuben Bakker and
Jan Stolin at No. 1 doubles and
Jaden Bender and
Bennet Dozeman at No. 2 doubles both fell 6-3.
The Panthers could not claim a set in singles. Bender at No. 2 singles had a 7-6, 6-1 match against Jorge Diaz. Stolin at No. 1 singles had a 6-3, 7-5 match against Bora Bakici.Â
