ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Davenport University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Midwest/Central Regional Preview on Tuesday (Sept. 15), finishing tied for 13th in the 18-team field at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University.

The Panthers carded a three-round team score of 900 (295-303-302) on the par-71, 7,026-yard course, tying Hillsdale in the team standings. Host Grand Valley State captured the team title with a score of 862, while Central Oklahoma (869) and Wayne State (872) rounded out the top three.

Cayden Kwan led the Panthers throughout the tournament, finishing tied for 19th individually with a 6-over-par 219. Kwan opened with a 1-over 72 before shooting a 75 in the second round and closing with another 72.

Justin Grimard was next for Davenport, tying for 29th with a 9-over 222. Grimard remained consistent over all three rounds, recording scores of 73, 74 and 75. Chen-Shiuan Wu finished tied for 64th at 14-over 227, highlighted by an opening-round 72.

Rounding out the Panthers' lineup, T.J. Chiu tied for 90th with a 22-over 235 (78-77-80), while Pedro Russi placed 98th at 24-over 237 (80-80-77).

Davenport also had two golfers competing as individuals. Hudson Turcotte led the pair with an 11-over 224, placing 44th after rounds of 73, 79 and 72. His final-round 72 matched Kwan for the Panthers' lowest score of the day. Ashton Rinaldi finished tied for 82nd at 19-over 232, posting rounds of 77, 77 and 78.
