Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. — Davenport battled Northwood to a 2-2 draw Thursday night, scoring twice in the first half before the Timberwolves pulled even in the second. The Panthers finished with 11 shots and five shots on goal while earning an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Kevin Hubbell and Isiah Meyer each scored for Davenport, while Payton Wright recorded an assist. Hubbell put both of his shots on goal, and Wright finished with one shot on frame. In goal, Beau Hudd played all 90 minutes and made three saves.

Northwood opened the scoring in the 18th minute, but Davenport quickly answered as Hubbell found the back of the net at 22:25 to even the match. Meyer then put the Panthers ahead in the 35th minute, scoring off a pass from Wright to give Davenport a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.

The Timberwolves tied the match in the 62nd minute on a goal from Brendan Gerard. Davenport continued to pressure Northwood late, earning five corner kicks in the second half, including three in the final four minutes, but couldn't find a game-winner.

Davenport moves to 0-2-1 on the season, while Northwood is also 0-2-1.

The Panthers return to action Saturday, Sept. 5, traveling to Tiffin, Ohio, to take on Tiffin at 2 p.m.
