29-3 Victory over Saginaw Valley Lifts #4 Panthers to 8-0 on the Year

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The #4 ranked Davenport Panthers jumped out to a fast lead today as they cruised to a 29-3 victory over conference foe Saginaw Valley State. The win lifts DU to 8-0 on the year and 2-0 in CCLA play.

Davenport got four quick goals from Gavin Morris, Shawn Beer (2) and Jordan Richtsmeier to take full command of the game and then outscored the Cardinals 7-0 in the second quarter to take a 15-2 lead into halftime.

The offense did not stop at the locker room though as DU put up 14 more goals in the second half while holding SVSU to only one for the end score of 29-3

For the game, DU outshot Saginaw 63-18 and Zach Higgins picked up his third win of the season.

Davenport will now travel to Dayton, OH where they will take on the Flyers of Dayton University who were ranked #5 in the latest MCLA D-II Poll. Game time is set for 2:00 PM.
