GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After moving up today's double-header to avoid the rain, the Panthers made quick work of their cross-town rival Aquinas Saints winning 10-1 and 9-0 in five innings. The two wins lift DU to 30-21 on the year as they conclude their regular season in 4th place in the league.

In game one Haley Stehouwer got the Panthers on the board in the 4th inning with her 16th homerun of the year to put DU up 1-0. The Panthers would never look back from there.

Morgan Greenfield would single to push another run across in the fifth, before DU exploded with five runs in the sixth and then three more in the 7th. DU accounted for 11 hits in the game with Greenfield, Cora Miller, and Katie Cornman having two each.

Karlee Despres would pitch another gem for DU giving up just three hits, with six strikeouts, and only one run in 7 innings. The win would be Despres 5th in the last three days to bring her overall record to 13-8.

Game two would prove the same results for DU as they capitalized on seven various Aquinas miscues to complete the sweep in 5 innings, 9-0. The Panthers jumped on the board early with a run in the first innings off an RBI single by Ali Dawson.

They would then add two more in the 2nd, before sealing the deal with 6 in the 3rd. Nikki Aldrich would have two hits with Stehouwer, Kristin Miedema, and Sandi Seaman adding one each.

Ali Dawson (7-4) would earn the shut-out win while only giving up three hits along with two strikeouts.

Davenport ends the regular season 30-21, and 15-13 in WHAC. They will now have a few days off before beginning the WHAC Conference Tournament on Thursday. The Panthers have earned themselves the #4 seed in the conference in which they will take on #5 Indiana Tech Thursday morning at Baily Park in Battle Creek, MI. Game time is set for 10:00am.
