Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport finished its weekend sweep of MCHC opponent Lansing
Community College with a convincing 11-0 victory. Seven different players would score for the Panthers who are now 10-3 on the year and a perfect 4-0 in the MCHC.
DU started out the game with two goals in the first period from
Brian Campbell (Grand Rapids, Mich.)and
Ben Duthler (Grand Rapids, Mich.). They would continue their offensive domination in the second period pushing three more goals across the red line.
Bryon Guerin (Jackson, Mich.) and
Zack Feher (Livonia, Mich.) would be credited with the first two goals and Campbell would his second of the night.
Up 5-0 heading into the third period the DU offense would not cool down. Duthler would complete his hat trick night with two goals and
Brandon Madaj (Newaygo, Mich.) would add two goals in the period as well. Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers would be third year players
Sam Waldhart (Walker, Mich.) and
Jordan Steger (Caledonia, Mich.).
Holding down the net for DU was
John Cruse (Shelby Twp, Mich.) who would earn his third win of the year.
Davenport will be back in action on Friday, November 5th when they travel to Rochester, Mich. to take on MCHC opponent Oakland University. Game time is set for 7:30pm.
