GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Panthers would fall 4-3 to Saginaw Valley State after being unable to hold onto a late lead. The loss is the third in a row for the Panthers who are now 13-7 overall and 6-3 in MCHC play.

The first period of play was full of back and forth scoring. Saginaw would strike would the first goal in the match followed up by two Davenport goals to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead. Sam Waldhart (Walker, Mich.) and Zack Feher (Livonia, Mich.) would both be credited with a goal each. The lead would not last for long as SVSU would tie the game up at 2-2 before heading into the second period.

In the second Saginaw would be the lone team to score with a goal at the 12 minute mark to take the 3-2 lead.

Davenport would waste no time in the third at tying the game back up at 3-3 with a goal from Bryon Guerin from teammates Mike Soto and Garrett Garber. Unfortunately DU would be unable to old on in the final minutes after SVSU would score another goal to secure the 4-3 victory.

Davenport will resume action tomorrow when they travel to Saginaw Valley State for a 9:00pm match-up.
