JACKSON, Tenn. - Davenport University dropped its final game of the Union University classic Saturday with a 9-1 loss to the host school in the championship game. The Lady Panthers are now 17-5 on the year and will travel to Marion, Ind. next week end for the Indiana Wesleyan Tournament.

In the first inning Union would get on the board first after a walk and then a homerun to go up 2-0. The Panthers would add a run in the bottom of the inning off an RBI single from Heather Brusokas (Glendale, Calif.).

That would be the lone run for the Panthers as they would only have two hits in the game compared to Union's 9.

Union would add three more runs in the third and then four more in the fifth to earn the 9-1 victory. Brusokas and Haley Stehouwer (Wyoming, Mich.) would have the lone hits in the game for DU who would suffer their fifth loss of the year.

The Panthers are now 17-5 on the year and will compete in the Indiana Wesleyan Tournament next weekend down in Marion, Ind.
