Box Score LANSING, Mich. - For the second straight night, a Davenport player recorded a hat-trick as the Panthers picked up their tenth win of the season with an 8-1 win over Lansing CC.
Mike Soto picked up three more goals to add to his hot start as
Garrett Russell chipped in with a pair. DU will host LCC on Sunday.
Davenport continued its hot start to the season on Saturday night with a convincing 8-1 win over Lansing CC in non-conference action. The two teams used to be division rivals within the MCHC, but Lansing CC moved down to the red this year and was replaced by Kettering.
DU made quick work of the home team as they led 3-0 after one period highlighted by a goal just 40 seconds into the contest. The Panthers added three more in the second to lead 6-0 and closed out the win with a 2-1 advantage in the third.
John Cruse picked up the win in net for Davenport as they are now 10-1 on the season.
