Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers losing streak reached four games after a 2-1 loss to Robert Morris on Sunday. Davenport jumped out to an early 1-0 lead but couldn't hold off Robert Morris who scored both goals in the second period. Davenport will be in action on Friday when they travel to Saginaw Valley State.
Byron Guerin got things started for Davenport knocking in a goal off passes from
Leo Donovan and
Tommy Barabe to give the Panthers the early 1-0 lead.
Robert Morris got on the board in the second with a goal just under seven minutes into the period. Davenport had a couple chances to retake the lead having a break away shot go off the post and a goal waived off on a delayed penalty.
With 3:30 left in the second period, Robert Morris took their first lead. Neither team would be able to score in the third period.
Davenport drops to 17-6 on the season. Robert Morris improves to 17-0 on the season. Davenport will be in action on Friday night at Saginaw Valley and then will return home to take on the Cardinals again on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
