Louisville, Ken. - Davenport completed the sweep of Louisville on Saturday with a convincing 11-0 shutout. The Panthers are now 8-1 on the year and have won six straight games. Jordan Steger recorded a hat trick and added an assist while Zack Feher chipped in with a goal and three assists. The Panthers will travel to East Lansing next weekend to take part in the Civil War showcase.

For the second straight night Davenport came out and controlled the game from the opening faceoff. Donald Sund and Garrett Russell put the Panthers up 2-0 after the first period.

The second period is when Davenport did most of their damage. The Panthers offensive exploded for seven goals in the period. Jordan Steger recorded a hat trick while, Blake Damerow, Zack Feher, Jake Otto, and Dugan Kelly added a goal each.

In the third period Jordan Crawford and Dugan Kelly each added a goal as the teams played with a running clock. Tim Davis picked up the shutout in net and recorded 10 saves

Post-Game Notes

Through nine the games the Panthers have posted four shutout wins. Last season Davenport posted two shutouts in 45 games…In the nine games Davenport has outscored their opponents 56-10.
