Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- In the first all-time meeting between Davenport and Aquinas it was the Panthers that came out on top with a 6-1 victory. Davenport used a balanced scoring attack as six different players scored for the Panthers. The Panthers are now 12-3 overall and 5-0 in the MCHC West.

Despite coming off of a three week break, the Panthers came out strong in the first period. DU jumped out to an early lead on a goal by Blake Damerow. Later in the period Cody Mathieu extended the lead after scoring on a delayed penalty call.

The two teams skated evenly for most of the second period. In the final minute of the period the Panthers were able to capitalize on a 2-on-1 break as Zack Feher set up Jordan Steger for his team leading 14^th goal of the season.

Not satisfied with a 3-0 lead, the Panthers continued to apply pressure on the Saints. Davenport added three more goals in the final stanza. Zack Feher, Patrick Martin, and Jake Otto each netted a goal. With around five minutes remaining in the third the Saints were finally able to beat goaltender John Cruse. Cruse picked up his 11^th win of the season as he stopped 20 of the 21 shots he faced.

Post-Game Notes
Davenport is one of two teams in the MCHC West that are unbeaten in conference play. Coming into tonight's game Hope College sat atop the division with a 7-0 record. The Panthers are now 5-0 in conference play.
