Box Score Georgetown Box Score

COLUMBIA, Ky. – On day one of the Campbellsville/Lindsey Wilson Classic the Panthers fell 3-1 to No. RV Georgetown College. DU's second game of the day against Olivet Nazarene was unable to be played due to weather and field conditions. With the loss today the Panthers are now 12-5 on the year and will continue tournament play tomorrow against Lindsey Wilson and St. Catharine.

The first two innings proved to be the most eventful for both teams as Georgetown pushed one run across in the first and two across in the second to take an early 3-0 lead.

DU's only two hits of the day came in the bottom of the second inning when Tami Weber's double scored Ali Dawson from second to bring the Panthers to within two. The run in the second was all the Panthers could mustard as they were held scoreless stranding four runners on base.

Sam Cole pitched all seven innings for DU giving up three earned runs and eight hits to earn the loss on the mound.

Davenport will return to action tomorrow at the Campbellsville/Lindsey Wilson Classic when they take on No. 14 Lindsey Wilson at 10:00am and St. Catharine at 4:00pm. Live stats will be available for both games at www.dupanthers.com.
