Although, the Saints were able to score another run in the bottom of the fourth bringing the score to 4-2, they would get no closer. DU tacked on their fifth run of the game as Veltman drove her in second RBI of the game on a single to shortstop.
The final two innings would remain scoreless as Davenport wrapped up the 5-2 victory. Despres got the win on the mound.
In game two, Davenport's defense took over as they denied Siena Heights from putting any runs on the scoreboard. The offense compiled three runs off of five hits giving Davenport the 3-0 triumph.
Amber Getty reached base on a single to start the game. Cornman brought Getty across homeplate on a sacrifice fly to center field.
DU would add another run in the fourth inning on a Blovsky homerun to center field. The Panthers would add their third run in the sixth inning. Cornman reached base on a single then Veltman followed with a single of her own bringing in the last run of the game.

Post-Game Comments – Head Coach Ronda Varnesdeel
On the DU's overall play -
"Our defense was much more consistent today.I felt in past games we lacked focus at times and today we were locked in for all 14 innings. It is always important to win conference games on the road and our offense produced timely hits to put us in a position to be successful."
Momentum heading into a big week -
"It felt great to finally take two games of a conference doubleheader after splitting our first two series. As always we can get better but after taking care of business today it will give our girls more confidence heading into this week."
