GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport found itself trailing 3-1 to the eighth seed, Concordia, in the WHAC Tournament with just under 30 minutes to play on Saturday night, but four unanswered goals later, the Panthers now move on to the semifinals with the 5-3 win. Dino Duratovic recorded a pair of goals and one assist and Mirza Harambasic now owns the all-time wins record for Davenport as they will lead DU against Madonna University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a right to play for the tournament championship.

Davenport entered the conference tournament as the top seed for the first time in its nine year history but the visiting Cardinals were not fazed at all. After DU took a 1-0 lead in the tenth minute on a redirected ball off the foot of senior Jai Maw, the Cardinals answered with a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead into the locker room.

DU created some great chances late in the first half and early in the second but it was the Cardinals who would strike next as they went up two with just over 30 minutes to play. With their 12-match winning streak on the line, DU took it to a different level for the next 10 minutes of the match and got three goals that covered a span of 8:23 to re-take the lead at 4-3.

Dino Duratovic scored back to back goals 5:08 apart with TJ Ifaturoti and Dzenan Catic picking up the assists. The go-ahead goal was then scored with 21:20 remaining when Chase Burgess headed in a free-kick from Jai Maw and the Panthers finished off the scoring on a goal from Catic in the final 30 seconds.

Although Mirza Harambasic allowed the second most goals of his stellar season, he came up with some big saves to preserve the win and allow the Panthers to move on to the semifinals for the eighth time in their nine seasons in the conference. The win is the 19th of Harambasic's career at DU which puts him on top of the all-time wins list breaking the record set by Kevin O'Brien from 2009-12.

Davenport will host Madonna University on Tuesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. The winner will play either Aquinas or Northwestern Ohio next Friday at the highest remaining seed.

Post-Match Notes

Davenport's five goals marked the most DU has scored since nine back on September 25 against Lawrence Tech…On the flip side, the three goals given up is the second most all season and first time DU has allowed more than one since a 4-2 win over Robert Morris on September 18…Dino Duratovic recorded two goals in one match for the first time in his two years at DU
