Spring Break Info
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It will be a busy week for the Davenport baseball team as it will travel south to central Florida to play seven opponents during Spring Break. The tour in Florida begins Monday at Warner University (Fla.) at 3 p.m. Fans can hear the game live on the Davenport Athletics Network (DAN) with
Gene Halbert on the call.
It will be the busiest week of the season for the Panthers, who head south after compiling a 3-4 record in two weeks at Kentucky to start the season. The Panthers will be traveling all over central Florida including a day trip to Daytona to play Embry Riddle Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Following a visit to Daytona, the Panthers will head back to the Orlando area to play a doubleheader with Southeastern University Wednesday at 4 p.m., while on Thursday they will visit the campus of Webber International University for a game under the lights. First pitch for that game will be at 7 p.m.
The weekend will feature two teams from Missouri and one ranked team from Pennsylvania. The Panthers will head to Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale to play Hannibal-LaGrange University (Mo.) Friday at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday they will make their only visit to Chain of Lakes Park in Winter Haven to play a doubleheader with Evangel University (Mo.) at 12:30 p.m.
The Spring Break tour concludes Sunday at Lake Myrtle Park with a doubleheader showdown with No. 6 Point Park University (Pa.) at 11:45 a.m.
