PANTHERS VERSUS SPARTANS: Davenport leads the all-time series over the Spartans 3-1. The two teams met only one time last season due to a weather cancelation. The Panthers defeated the Spartans 6-3 in the final game of their regular season.

PANTHERS VERSUS UM-FLINT: This is the 5th all-time meeting between Davenport and UM-Flint. The Panthers have dominated UM-Flint winning the first four meetings. Last season DU beat UM-Flint 4-1 in the regional final to clinch a bid to the National Tournament, and then 6-3 in a tune up for nationals.

WEEKEND RECAP: The Panthers made a big statement this past weekend as they defeated the No.1 and No.2 teams in the North Region, boosting their resume right before the final rankings. DU started the weekend by sweeping No.2 Hope College. On Friday, the DU took down the Dutchmen 4-2 on the first annual military night and followed that up with a 4-3 win in Holland, Mich. As if the sweep of Hope wasn't impressive enough, DU came out on Sunday and defeated No.1 Adrian-Gold 8-5. Branden Burton tallied three goals and four assist over the weekend and was name the DU male athlete of the week.

SCOUTING MIHIGAN STATE: The Spartans enter the weekend 20-6 with three shootout losses. MSU defeated the Panthers earlier this season at Patterson Ice Center 3-1, giving Davenport their only conference loss of the season. Chris Coyne is the leader for the Spartans on offense with 24 goals and 21 assists while Joe Kulczcki has added 12 goals and 32 assists.

SCOUTING UM-FLINT:  UM-Flint has spent most of the season ranked in the top three of the North region and are one of the few teams that have defeated Adrian-Gold. The Panthers will look to slow down forward Dan Cowan who leads the team with 55 points (21 goals, 34 assists). A big part of UM-Flint's success has been to goaltender Kirk Allen. Allen has a posted a 15-2 record including one shutout.
