Tiffin, Ohio. – The Davenport Wrestling team traveled to Tiffin, Ohio to take on Heidelberg University this past Wednesday night. It was the first head-to-head matchup for the Panthers on the season, but Heidelberg proved to be too much as they downed DU by a score of 38-10. The Panthers will be back in action this Saturday, as they will compete in the Eastern Michigan Open.   
 
Heidelberg started things off early as Ty Price pinned DU's Elijah Flores in the 125 lb. weight class, but then DU fired back with Zack Yates winning by major decision and Connor Hughes pinning Justin Kihn in the 141 lb. matchup. It was all Princes from there on out as the Panthers were unable to win another match.
 
The Panthers will get a few days rest before heading to Ypsilanti, Mich. to compete in the Eastern Michigan University Open, and hope to improve upon their 1-2 team record thus far in their 2014-2015 campaign.
