ADRIAN, Mich. – The Davenport D3 hockey was in search of the first win of the season against Adrian-Gold. After being off last weekend, the Panthers allowed seven goals in the first period as the Bulldogs went on to win the game 8-0. Davenport will now head be off until after the Thanksgiving break when they return to action with a home-and-home series against Calvin starting on December 5th.
 
Adrian-Gold came out strong to start the first period as they scored seven goals in the first period. The Panthers were unable to muster a goal in the period as Davenport trailed 7-0 at the first intermission. In the second period, the Panthers tightened up on the defensive end to as they allowed just one goal in the period. Davenport could not find the back of the net as the Bulldogs led 8-0 heading into the first period.
 
Davenport looked to avoid their second consecutive shutout as they started to put together some scoring chances in the third period. The Panthers were unable to put a goal on the board in the third period as they held Adrian-Gold scoreless in the third period. The Panthers dropped to 0-8-0-0 on the year with the 8-0 loss to the Bulldogs.
 
The Panthers will now head into the Thanksgiving break before they return to action on December 5th to start a home-and-home series with local rival Calvin.
