Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport D3 hockey team faced off against crosstown rival Calvin College on Friday and Saturday. The Knights were able to sweep the Panthers to drop DU to 0-10-0-0 in the season. Davenport lost the first game of the series 15-0 and the Knights were able to take the second game 16-0. Davenport will be back on the ice next weekend with a pair of road games against another crosstown rival Aquinas.
 
In the first game of the weekend on Friday night, Calvin controlled the game as they beat the Davenport 15-0 hand DU their ninth straight loss to start the season.
 
On Saturday, Calvin controlled the game from the get go as they scored 11 goals in the first period, and the Knights continued to pour it on in the second period as they scored three more goals to take 14-0 lead heading into the third period.
 
In the third period, the Panthers defense was able to hold the Knights to two goals, but Calvin went on to win the game as Davenport dropped to 0-10-0-0 on the season.
 
Davenport will conclude their first semester schedule with a pair of road games against crosstown rival Aquinas on Friday and Saturday next week.
