A Quick Look at Saint Xavier – 4-12 – Head Coach Mike Dooley
Under veteran head coach Mike Dooley, the Cougars return to the northern states after a 4-8 record during their spring break trip in Florida March 8-15. Saint Xavier is also looking to snap a two-game losing skid after dropping to Aquinas and Saint Ambrose. While Jim Augle is hitting a team-leading .333 at the plate, Alec Barnhart has been slugging for .420, stretching four doubles and hitting the Cougars only homer of the year. He and Thomas Keating have also been the team's RBI duo with a combined 23. Adrian Luna has been Dooley's go-to guy out of the bullpen. He has checked into seven games and in 10 innings of work he leads the team in ERA (1.80).

Home Runs can be Earned Another Way
The Farmers Athletic Complex has not been home run friendly as only five Panthers have recorded a homer in their two-year-old ballpark. Senior Derek Dennis hit the Panthers first home run at home since May 1, 2013, and he had to do earn it with his legs instead of the long ball as the Grand Rapids native hit the school's first inside-the-park.

Panthers Love Their New Home
Since the Farmers Athletic Complex has opened  a year ago, Davenport has posted a 25-6 record including the WHAC Tournament. In addition, the Panthers are hitting .334 with 51 doubles, 16 triples and five home runs. They have also scored 237 runs and driven in 202. On the mound, the Panthers own a 2.61 ERA with 185 strikeouts. Opponents also have stretched for 32 doubles, eight triples and three home runs.
