Box Score MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – After being away from action for over a month, the Davenport D3 hockey team returned action on Friday night as they faced Central Michigan in the first game of weekend series in Mount Pleasant, Mich. The Panthers fell to the Chippewas 8-0 and are 0-13-0-0 on the season. Davenport and Central Michigan will wrap up the weekend series on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
 
In the first game of 2015 for the Panthers, Central Michigan got off to a strong start as they took an early 3-0 lead. The Panthers had some scoring chances in the early going, but they could not capitalize on their opportunities as the Chippewas took a 3-0 lead in the break.
 
The Chippewas continued to increase their lead in the second period as they scored three more goals in the period to take 6-0 after 40 minutes of play. Central Michigan added two more goals in the third period to beat Davenport 8-0 and drop the Panthers to 0-13-0-0 on the year.
 
Davenport and Central Michigan will conclude the weekend series in Mount Pleasant, Mich., on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
