Box Score HOLLAND, Mich. – The Davenport D3 hockey team was back in action this weekend as they face rival Hope College in the first half of a home-and-home series.
Zach Schwandt scored the only goal for the Panthers is an 11-1 loss to the Flying Dutchmen. The Panthers will conclude the home-and-home series on Saturday night at the Patterson Ice Center for an 8:20 p.m. puck drop.

In the first period, the Panthers battled the Dutchmen in a close game, but Hope was able to take a 1-0 lead into the locker room. Hope started to take over the game in the second period as they scored six goals in the period, but
Zach Schwandt was able to get Davenport on the board in the second period as Hope took a 7-1 lead into the third period.

In the third period, the Flying Dutchmen continued their momentum in the period as the scored four unanswered goals in the period as Hope was able to beat Davenport 11-1.
Adam Rooney played in net and dropped to 0-4-0 on the season.

Davenport and Hope will conclude the home-and-home weekend series as Patterson Ice Center on Saturday night at 8:20 p.m.
