GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After playing all 16 victorious games in the month of March at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex, the newly-ranked No. 3 Davenport baseball team will take its hot streak on road for the first time since spring break as it visits Purdue North Central for a non-conference twin bill Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. EDT.

A Quick Look at Davenport (25-2, 11-0 WHAC)The Panthers are the hottest team in the NAIA, having won 16 straight contests and have only suffered two losses to a then-13
th ranked team and an NCAA Division II team which by two or fewer runs this season. In fact, the two losses are the fewest in the nation, thus giving Davenport the best win percentage (.926). Top ranked Oklahoma Baptist is 30-3 (.909) for second-best among those categories. The Panthers, who own a nation-leading .370 batting average this season, have outscored their opponents 231-70 while the pitching staff owns a 2.25 ERA, which ranks third best in the NAIA.

A Quick Look at Purdue North Central (11-13, 7-6 CCAC)Shane Prance's third edition of the Purdue North Central ballclub have had an up-and-down season so far. The Panthers have lost four of their last five contests, all of them in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Colin Willis is currently third in the nation in batting average (.474) but is also proven to be dangerous on the base paths. He is second in triples (7) and slugging percentage (.868) while 10-for-14 in the steals department.
