GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After splitting a pair of doubleheaders to UM-Dearborn and Madonna last weekend, the newly-ranked No. 18 Davenport softball team will look to keep up with the two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foes atop the standings as the Panthers wrap up an eight-game homestand with Cornerstone visiting the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. It is the first of four Battle of the Beltline games. DU will face Aquinas over the weekend.

A Quick Look at Davenport (28-6, 8-2 WHAC)Davenport is in search of a rhythm after splitting the doubleheaders with UM-Dearborn and Madonna last weekend. The Panthers took game one but couldn't complete the sweep in game two. Davenport is currently sitting in a tie with Madonna for first place in the WHAC standings with UM-Dearborn right behind trailing by one game. 
KC Dunne still ranks second in the NAIA in total triples six, while ranking seventh in batting average (.500) and slugging percentage (.955).
 
A Quick Look at Cornerstone (14-8, 2-4 WHAC)The Golden Eagles are coming off a 2-2 performance home-and-away last weekend. Cornerstone swept Indiana Tech at home 10-5 and 7-4 Friday but were outplayed at Madonna 9-3 and 7-0 in Livonia the next day. Megan Obert leads the Cornerstone ballclub with a .418 batting average but Logan Myers has 30 RBI to pace the Golden Eagles.
