A Quick Look at Davenport (24-4, 4-0 WHAC)The Panthers, backed by three-time WHAC Pitcher of the Week
Emily Maves, opened their conference title defense with doubleheader wins against Concordia and Northwestern Ohio last week. The Panthers have won eight of their last nine games. DU heads into the week still ranked in the top 10 in several offensive categories. It ranks sixth in total triples, which
KC Dunne has individually second-most in the nation six, and it ranks seventh in slugging percentage (.557). Defensively the Panthers rank sixth in fielding percentage (.967).
A Quick Look at Indiana Tech (11-14, 0-4 WHAC)The Warriors are still in search for a WHAC win after four unsuccessful tries against UNOH and Cornerstone. Mother Nature hasn't been too kindly to Indiana Tech as twice already the Warriors had to postpone their date with Aquinas and cancel a meeting with crosstown rival Saint Francis (Ind.). Hannah Foltz has been the Warriors leader, hitting .375 with seven doubles, four home runs and 22 RBI. Indiana Tech has turned to a committee on the pitching circle but Jamie Kilps paces the ballclub with a 2.96 ERA in 48 2/3 innings. She also has 27 strikeouts and issued only five walks to lead both categories.
