Postseason play begins
Davenport is making its sixth appearance in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament. The Panthers improved to 7-8 all-time in the tournament after going a perfect 3-0 to win it all last year.

About the WHAC Tournament
The WHAC Tournament, held at Siena Heights this season, is a six-team, double-elimination format. All games are nine innings. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round beginning May 12.

Going in as No. 2
The Panthers came up one game short from at least clinching a share of the WHAC championship last week. Davenport will enter the WHAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed while Northwestern Ohio takes No. 1, Madonna is No. 3, Indiana Tech is No. 4, Cornerstone and Aquinas both barely made the tournament on the final week. The Golden Eagles will take the No. 5 seed while the Saints will be No. 6.

Panthers get NAIA National Championship bid
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on April 15 that Davenport's Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex will be one of nine locations to host the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. As a host site, the Panthers receive an automatic berth to the opening round. It makes the second straight time Davenport will be making an appearance in the national spotlight.
