GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers lose a hard fought battle against the Timberwolves 7-6. Davenport went into the third period leading 6-3 and gave up four goals in third period while being shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The first period saw the Panthers jump out to a 2-1 lead. The visiting Timberwolves struck first with a goal in the opening minute of play, Davenport would have control the rest of the period.
-The second period was filled with action, as the Panthers scored four goals in the period. Sophomore forward
Christopher Heath completed a hat trick in the second period, he was assisted by
Bailey Rietman on both goals.
-The Panthers were shutout in the third period and the Timberwolves would pour in four goals. Davenport couldn't find an answer to slow the visiting Timberwolves down and would lose 7-6 as a result.
-Heath led DU in goals with the hat trick (three goals).
-Rietman had himself a night as he assisted on five different goals.

Nick Allen tallied the most penalty minutes as he was given 15 minutes and ejected from the game in the first period.
