WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The men's and women's bowling teams hit the road for the Boilermaker Classic hosted by Purdue University as the women placed 11th and the men sixth in the tournament.
Adam Batliner ranked at the top of the leaderboard with a 216.6 average for five games and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Batliner rolled four 200 games in the set with a 233 in the first game.
Sam Brandt finished 17th overall with a 194.6 average and rolled back-to-back 200 games with a 210 and 215 in the second and third games. DU as a team were ranked in the top four until the last two baker games.
Chris Morgan ranked 26th overall with a 190.2 average and rolled a 232 in the third game.
Sean Taylor placed 29th with a 189 average including a 211 in the second game.
Ryan O'Rourke finished 49th overall with a 177.4 average and shot a 243 in the second game. Robert Morris-Illinois won the tournament on the men's side with a 8,211 pin total. Davenport checked in at 7,708 pins.
Mercedes Herrera had the top finish for the women's team in 60th overall at a 146.5 average. She bowled four games and topped out at 175.
Olivia Clark placed 77th overall and averaged 153.3 in three games.
Bailey Knittle bowled three games and averaged 143.67. Davenport showed improvement with a 5,669 pin total. RMU-Illinois took the women's title as well with a total of 7,149 pins.
