Bowling season comes to a close as Panthers take sixth in ITC

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Placing sixth overall in their respective divisions, the men's and women's bowling teams fell short of a berth in the 2024 Intercollegiate Team and Singles Championships.

The top four teams or athletes from the ITC and ISC move on to the national championships.

Individual sectionals consist of six baker games, with Ethan VanderSlik being the closest Panther for the men's team to the cutoff in a ninth-place finish (score of 1,349). Nicholas Luther ( 23rd; 1,266), Michael Willshire (24th; 1,265), and Lucas Buck (27th; 1,258) also finished in the top 30 for DU. As a team, the men's 12,710 total points through 64 baker games placed them sixth out of 20 teams.

Kadence Bottrall was the only Panther to finish in the top 30 for the women's team, claiming 23rd overall with a total score of 1,196. Bella Harnish (75th; 1,095), Karine Bouchard (86th; 1,083), and Carly Snyder (143rd; 980) also competed in the individual sectionals for DU. Totaling 12,143 points as a team, the Panthers were two spots shy of a national tournament berth in their sixth-place finish.
