After kicking off their inaugural year in 2015, the team is looking to expand their roster by signing several enthusiastic, outgoing and dedicated girls. Try out information and criteria:Â For other rules and regulations click the link below.
Tryouts will start at 9am and go until 1pm. Participants should arrive by 8:30 am to the Main gym. Please wear a White tee-shirt, tennis shoes and black shorts or pants. Hair must be pulled back and off the face. All offers for spots will be made same day by 1 pm. Â
Must come with a 45 second -1 minute personal routine. It must contain the following:
- Four 8 counts of kick line
- One toe touch
- Use of Poms

What is Davenport University's Pompon style?: Panther Pom performs in the style of traditional pompon incorporating kicklines, use of poms with strong precision and transitions.
Do I have to be accepted into Davenport University already to tryout?: No, you do not need to be accepted to try out but we strongly suggest that you apply. There is no application fee and this allows us to expedite your application process should you be chosen for the team. Click the link to apply:

Are spectators aloud at the tryouts: No, should you be traveling with family members there is a small lounge area off of the main arena where they will be encouraged to wait during your tryout.
If chosen for the team, what cost I am responsible for?: Davenport Pompon is a fully funded program. This includes, travel, uniform, shoes, warm up and practice gear on top of possible athletic scholarships and academic aid.
If Chosen for the team when does the season officially start?: The 2016-2017 season will officially start August 1
st, 2016. However there will be optional spring and summer training and conditioning.
