MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Davenport took part in the Jack Skoog Traingular with Alma, Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy and Oakland. The Panthers were the only NCAA Division II school to compete in the meet.
Performances
Obi Iwuagwu had two all-time top five performances at DU in his respective events. Iwuagwu finished with a time of 7.07 seconds in the 60-meter dash, finishing fourth overall at the meet. This was also the fifth faster 60-meter by a DU runner. He also had the second longest mark in the triple jump, leaping 13.17m on the day. The 13.17m jump was the fourth longest in school history. Davenport was well represented in the men's weight throw event. Both
Alexander Lake and
Eric Toledoplaced in the top three overall in the meet. Lake threw a monster 18.33m toss, taking second overall place, and Toledo threw a 16.27m toss to take third overall. Lastly for the men
Jordan Stanford ran a time of 50.96 seconds in the 400-meter run and took second place overall in the meet. He was only 1.25 seconds behind the top place finisher from Oakland University. On the women's side
Mallory Bont placed well in both the high jump and long jump. In the high jump Bont leaped 1.54m to finish third overall and in the long jump she jumped 5.17m taking sixth overall place at the meet.

Davenport will travel to University Center, Mich. for their next meet on Friday, January 19
th. The Panthers will take part in the Saginaw Valley State Doug Hansen Open.
