MOLINE, Ill. - The bowling teams made the voyage to the Leatherneck Classic hosted by Western Illinois over the weekend. The men's team placed 17th out of 43 teams with a total of 8,440 pinfall.
McKenzie Eaton carried the top average for the Panthers at 198.8 in his six games. He topped out at 251 in the third game and also rolled a 231 in the fifth game.
Sam Brandt averaged 191.8 over his six games. He had a high of 227 in the sixth game.
Sean Taylor had an average of 179 in five games with a high of 214 in the fifth game.
David Northouse averaged 177 over five games and rolled a 212 in the second game.
The women's team placed 34th out of 37 teams with a total of 6,600 pinfall and bowled in Davenport, Iowa of all places.
Leah Murray turned in the highest average at 157.3 over six games. Murray topped out at 218 in the second game.
Katelyn LaBelle averaged 154.7 during her six games on the lanes. LaBelle rolled a best of 177 in the second game.
McKenzie Collier averaged 151.8 during six games and racked up a high of 187 in the second game.
