GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport baseball team is entering their 10th season and first as a member of NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The coaching staff wanted to honor those who have built the foundation of the program and also introduce this year's squad. The program hosted a banquet of over 200 people on Saturday, Feb. 10 where they unveiled the All-Decade Team as selected by the coaching staff and also recognized the 2015 team that advanced to the NAIA World Series. In addition, each 2018 team member was introduced as well as this year's team captains. Serving as team captains this year are

Andrew Click.
One of the highlights of the evening was a round table discussion with head coach
Kevin Tidey and two former players who are now playing in the minors.
Corbin Clouse (Atlanta Braves) and
Jonathan Cheshire (Toronto Blue Jays) talked about their experiences at Davenport and how it prepared them for life in professional baseball.
