HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first two periods yielded a tie score of 6-6 but Sault College wore down the Panthers in the third period for the 10-7 win. In one of the highest scoring games between both teams this season, seven different Panthers scored a goal. Brandon Bihn was one of those goal scorers and also finished with a team-high three assists for a total of four points.
-Ryan Morse also scored a goal and added two assists. Justice Postman collected a pair of assists. Jordan Tafel stopped 42 shots in net for Davenport.
-Sault College only dressed nine skaters in the contest. Carter Bissonette made 29 saves for the Cougars. Ryan Vendramin had the first star of the game with five goals and three assists. Jason Uhl led the Cougars with five assists. Lucas Duckstein collected a hat trick including the game-winning goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Davenport evened the weekend series with their neighbors from the North and used a similar script from Friday night. The Panthers picked up their fifth win of the season by scoring five goals in the third period.
-Sault College led 2-1 after 20 minutes scoring 1:48 apart after Davenport took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Shawn Marschall at 1:06. Vendramin scored at 13:00 followed by Duckstein from Uhl at 14:48.
-Sault College looked to be in the driver's seat taking a 5-2 lead midway through the second period. Uhl scored twice and Vendramin sniped his second goal of the game at the 10:58 mark. Davenport turned it around with two goals to end the period. Bihn scored at 15:16 and Christopher Heath followed at 16:48 from Dillon Bond and Tyler Heyboer.
-The Panthers made it six straight goals with the first four goals of the third period. Postman, Morse, Bihn and Carter Janssen all scored within a span of 8:39. Vendramin completed his hat trick for Sault College at 15:26 but it was far little too late. Charlie Bonser added the team's ninth goal at 19:43 from Bihn.
-Austen Strauss stopped 31 shots in goal for Davenport to get the win. Bihn had a five-point game with two goals and three assists. The nine goals were the second-most in a game this season for DU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Ferris State ignited a four-goal first period beginning at 6:19 on a goal by Matthew Medonis. Bihn scored at 9:13 for Davenport from Bonser. Zach Peters scored twice in the period for the Bulldogs.
-The Panthers could not climb out of a 4-1 hole after the first period. They played the Bulldogs even over the last two periods. Morse had a fabulous second period with three goals. Bonser also scored at 19:51 for Davenport. DU trailed 6-1 just 3:45 into the period but scored four of the next five goals to make it interesting.
-Down 7-5 entering the final period, DU got within one on a goal by Postman at 4:57. Nathan Rieman scored at 14:10 from Medonis to regain a two-goal lead. Bonser got DU within one goal again at 16:01 from Richard Zanavich and Bihn. FSU scored at 19:08 to take the 9-7 win.
-Strauss got the start in net for DU but was pulled after allowing four goals on nine shots. Tafel finished with 26 saves in the final 45 minutes. Bihn finished with a goal and two assists. Morse had 14 penalty minutes to go with his three goals. Bonser finished with two goals and an assist.   
 
UP NEXT
-Davenport will await the draw for the MCHC Vezina Cup Playoffs which begin on Feb. 16 at Eagles Ice Center in Grand Rapids.
