STRATFORD, N.J. - Senior Sean Taylor (Hastings, Mich.) captured one of four Intercollegiate Singles Sectional titles on Friday in the Garden State of New Jersey. The top five qualifiers advanced to the ISC Nationals which will take place in Dayton, Ohio beginning April 17. Taylor bowled six games for an average of 236.2 and had 110 more pinfall than the second place finisher. He started off with a 191 in the first game and then followed with 231-187. He really made a push for the title in the fourth game with a 286 and then nearly bowled a perfect game with the first 11 strikes before a nine-count on the final ball in the fifth game. He finished with a 223 in the sixth and final game.

Logan Smith also had a good showing in 18th place with a total of 1,230 (205 average). He bowled over 200 three times including a high of 252 in the sixth game.

The Panthers then tried to qualify as a team on Saturday and Sunday. They bowled a total of 64 baker games in four 16-game segments. In the end, Davenport finished 10th out of 21 schools with a total of 12,095. Webber International took home the sectional title at 13,140 pins.
