GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Following a three-match GLIAC hiatus to play at the Midwest Region Crossover, the Davenport University women's volleyball (18-5, 9-2 GLIAC) team gets back to league play this week with home matches against Northern Michigan on Friday (7 p.m.) and Michigan Tech on Saturday (2 p.m.). Those two matches will begin a four-game homestand for the Panthers, their final home matches for the 2022 regular season.
Northern Michigan (16-6, 8-3 GLIAC) went 1-2 at the Crossover and has lost three of its last five matches, but leads the all-time series with Davenport, 7-3. The two teams' newest meeting will be in Grand Rapids where the Wildcats are 3-0 all time, all three of which happened during the 2021 calendar year. Michigan Tech (14-7, 6-5 GLIAC) went 2-1 in Hammond, has been on the right end in seven of its previous nine outings and has won five of seven all time against Davenport. The first time the Panthers met these two teams this season, DU defeated No. 19 MTU in five before falling to NMU in three.

- The Panthers hit .187 to the Wildcats' .173 clip, but the host out-killed its visitors, 43-35.

- A trio of Panthers finished with double-doubles including Taylor (20 kills/12 digs), Kreiger (17 kills/21 digs) and Beeke (40 assists/16 digs).
- After a career-high 23 kills on Tuesday at No. 20 Hillsdale, Taylor tallied 20 or more kills in back-to-back matches for the first time in her career.
- The Miami of Ohio transfer also notched 12 or more digs in three of her previous four matches.
- Kreiger was up to five double-doubles for the season, including three-straight matches, and her 21 digs were a career high.

- Michigan Tech hit over .200 as a team in each of the first two sets before Davenport did so in the third with its back against the wall.
- The Panthers hit a match-high .222 in that third set while the Huskies' best offensive clip was the first at .240.
- In the fifth and deciding set, Michigan Tech managed to hit just -.061 while Davenport hit .111 to hold on for the victory.
