OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Matt Whelan, Davenport

Redshirt senior Matt Whelan (Cork, Ireland) scored both game-winning goals this week in wins over Purdue Northwest and St. Cloud State. The striker found the net twice on Wednesday against the Pride to secure third place in the league standings with both shots on goal finding the back of the net. He then scored the winner in the quarterfinals against the Huskies in the 82nd minute just 46 seconds after St. Cloud State tied the match at 2-2. Whelan has 14 goals this season which is seventh best in a season at DU.
