GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Division II Conference Commissioners Association has announced its Midwest Region honorees in men's soccer for the 2022 season. Redshirt senior

Eoin Broughan made the list of the best players in the region. Whelan was named First Team All-Region and will now go to the national ballot, while Broughan was named Second Team All-Region.
Whelan was named First Team All-GLIAC for the third time in 2022. He tied for the GLIAC lead with 16 goals and was fifth in Division II in total goals at the end of the regular season. Whelan also ranked seventh in shots per game nationally and had six multi-goal games in 2022. He leaves DU with the sixth most goals in a season at DU and most since joining Division II.
Broughan was named First Team All-GLIAC for the second time in 2022. He also was named First Team All-GLIAC in 2019. He had two goals and one assist in the GLIAC Tournament semifinal win against No. 15 Parkside and had a career-high five points in that win. Broughan also had a goal and assist in season-opening win against nationally-ranked Illinois-Springfield. He finished the season with five goals and five assists.
